Doug Cox has carved out a diverse career in the 'roots' music business world now for over 30 years. As a multi-instrumentalist (primarily Dobro) he has toured and recorded with colleagues from India to Alaska; from Slovenia to Nova Scotia. Dougs award winning work is featured in numerous TV Shows and Soundtracks. He does many sessions for people from his home studio.
As a record producer, his most recent project was with Canadian First Nations Artist, Leonard Sumner.
A seasoned and published instructor, Doug teaches at Guitar Camps throughout North America and Europe. He has played a hand in launching numerous Festivals and Music Camps over the years.
As a Festival and concert producer, Doug currently produces The Vancouver Island MusicFest, one of Canada's most successful Music Festivals. He has been doing that for 19 years and has been producing concerts and recordings since 1980.
Doug also serves on numerous Boards and Jurys within the Music Industry and remains a great believer in the power of community through music. He is currently working on his newest book and recording project.
